Is there a way to change the color of the story status bar. I have tried adding a status bar style to the info.plist but it had no effect. May make sense to use the Status Bar style / color in the Global Theme then. Applying it in the Global Theme will persist across all screen in the app unless they are over-ridden. In most cases, the status bar should be the same for all screens. This means you should set it in the Global Theme and not for individual screens unless you want 'one screen' to be different.
