Running iPhone app on iPod Touch/iPad

I am preparing my app for distribution and was wondering if an app that has the call us feature will work on the iPod touch/iPad, or do I need to specify my app for iPhone only. If it will cause a problem, can I copy my app, strip out the phone features and submit two different apps. Just wondering?

Just tested in the simulator using the ipad setting and got the phone call not supported error. I figure it would be the same for ipod. Guess I should have thought of the simulator before I posted. Oh well

It's generally OK to show the warning about a feature not being support, Apple is OK with this. It's unlikey that iPod users will use the Call Use option anyway. It's usually tough to manage two apps that are basically the same apps with a few missing things for the iPod / iPad. My advice would be to leave the feature and let the friendly Feature Not Supported message show if end users bump into it.

@ Fremontboy: There are plenty of posts that get answered by others. But, like you can see, I do anwer a very large amount of them. This is the case because this is what I do - literally. I'm very interested in helping as many folks as I can. Nothing more.
