Hi, on ipad after getting to the reward screen in quiz when hitting back button app shuts down...doesn't seem to be doing it on iphone...version 1.5 app HoBF App screen is Fishy Quiz...thanks!

Actually i have 2 quizzes in my HoBF App (Name That Fish! and Fishy Quiz) both crash on ipad after getting to reward screen and trying to exit...both seem to work fine on iphone though...thanks again!!

Hmm... crashing on iPad but not iPhone - this is strange... the code is the same. I'll get a look at it. Nudge this thread if you don't see a post by sometime tomrrow. Not with it much longer tonight and have a few others to look at before I can quit ;-)

hi dave, still having troubles with crashing ipad reward screen...have reinstalled and still same...maybe last ipad update is messing something up? edit..while testing on ipad still connected to xcode i get program recieved signal SIGABRT

I was able to reproduce this and did get my actual iPad to crash. My sim seems to work OK but the device dies everytime. I also got the ever elusive SIGBART. Still digging. Motivate to find this and WILL find it. This stuff is always findable / fixable but sometimes leads me down super-duper long paths that always end up making me laugh.... Are you fricken' kidding me, thats all it was! Funny. Stay tuned.

Hi....getting closer. This is a very strange bug that I havn't been able to fix yet. I did find a few issues that I thought would fix it but no luck. The hard part has been trying to isolate whether it's a buzztouch source-code issue or an iOS issue that needs to be worked around on different devices. A little mysterious that it's iPad only. Suppossedly, iOS is the same on iPhone 4 and iPad - obvisouly not. So... I havn't given up but don't have anything useful to say yet - pout face.

I'm sure you'll find it...wish I could be of more help...on a good note the piano songlist app is working very well...lots of requests off the app at shows...thanks and cheers!!

I think I got it!!! Can't get it to crash on my sim / device now. You'll need to re-download the project, re-comple, test away. Be sure to post either way (fixed or not) so I can update the change log, others may have this problem too? NOTE: I was able to get it crash consistently when tapping 'back' from the scoreboard or the reward screen. I was able to test the repair on my test app with a test quiz and no problems. I was NOT able to test your app with the reward screen. I was able to test it with the scoreboard screen and all is well. I can't test it with the reward screen because I can't get enough fricken' points - I don't have the fish images so I'm guessing! So funny. Anyway.. test this thing, re-post so we know if it's fixed. The repairs: I'll try explain but it may not be understandable. The Reward or Scoreboard screens are not the problem. The problem is the 'pop up' message that shows when a quiz is completed. This is the pop-up that allows 'start over' 'quit' 'show scoreboard' etc. It shows as soon as the quiz ends. It also shows if you come BACK from the reward or scoreboard. The problem was that this message, when coming back, was trying to open too soon, on top of the quiz screen before the quiz screen was done rendering. I moved tons of code around to get it to wait to 'pop up' until the underlying screen was rendered. This may or may no be interesting to you.... figued I could try to explain what took so damn long. Geez... that was a toughie. I really do enjoy sleuthing out these little discoveries but was major-pulling-my-hair out on this one. Fingers crossed that you're tests match mine and all is well.
