just go to your home screen and click on each of your menu options (1st column). That will bring up a black pop up that has options for background image name (if in xcode project) or background url (if online) for both small and lg device. That's how you get different pictures. To change the layout or size of those icons then go to your home screen's advanced properties and play around with button layout and button size.

Also, some folks get confused about the difference between an button icon and a button background image. The icon goes on-top of the background image. This means it's perfectly OK to use background images without icons. An example of this may be a list of buttons with each button showing a persons face. In this case, putting an icon on their face would not make much sense. However, a button with a solid color, and an icon on top may make sense in some situations. Balance the background of the button with the icon for the best effect.

I really want to use a question mark for the Quiz icon. I have made an image 20x20 px and saved as png. Then dragged it into the BT Images folder in Xcode. How do I assign this image to the quiz button as it is additional to the BT platform?

If you want to put this image on top of a button, click a button's name in the Button Menu you are building. It will open a Properties Window for the button. Enter the button as the Icon File Name. Save.

You'll get it. A few days from now you'll be turning out apps like an pro. Lots and lots of flexibility means a steep learning curve. Well worth it. Also... have a look at the Output Console in Xcode when you're running the project.. we've included all sorts of useful in there while the app is rendering screens, fetching data, placing images, etc. It looks overwhelming at first but like everyting else, you'll get the hang of reading through it quickly to see what's happening when something isn't quite the way you expected.
