How do I get my app posted on the app store?

I made my app and i got as far as me downloading the text file things. But when i open up the folder, I get a whole bunch of things and i've pressed on each and on each all it brings up is a notepad or to a sub-menu. I don't know how to do anything from here. If anyone can give me any reply on what i can do next to make me feel good that would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm new to this. So please respond! -thanks

That builder program thing is absolutely necessary. Xcode for Mac (Iphone) and Eclipse for Android (PC/Mac). You will want to find speakers for your comp. And pull out your reading glasses, since there is a lot to cover. Most issues are dealt with in these forums, so you can just search the forum and usually find an answer. You can use these programs for free, but in order to see your app on a device, or to sell it in any store, you'll have to pay for developer status. I'm not sure if Eclipse costs anything, but Apple dev is 99/year. Good luck!
