App crashes after re-launch

Hello, I just compiled a 1.5 app and ran it in xCode/iPhone Sim. Everything works good for the whole session. But I wanted to see what needed to be re-downloaded if I 'killed' the App and re-launched it. So I went back to the springboard and double-clicked the home button to bring up the multi-task bar. Then I 'killed' the 1.5 app I was running (the only app running in Sim). When I re-launched the App, my computer re-focused on xCode - where it expanded the threads in the left menu bar of xCode (I just upgraded to xCode 4, so I'm not sure what that is called yet). It focused on thread 9 Main - whatever that is worth, lol. Back in the iPhone Simulator, the home screen was locked, and the only thing I could do was push home. Back at the springboard, it was completely black - not even showing the app I just launched. I hope you can make sense from my attempt to describe my problem. Thanks!

incidently, I just tested on one of my devices also with the same result. Springboad goes completely black with exception of time/carrier bar, and it requires a full shut-down / reboot to fix it.

Incidently, I just installed the app on one of my provisioning devices with the same result. After re-launching the app, I get a full black screen on the springboard with exception of the date/carrier status bar. I have to do a full shut-down and reboot to get the iphone to work again.

Did you get a chance to look into this one. I just redownloaded the source, and it still acts the same. I can supply the app name if needed (bbbv15) Thanks, Chris

This is normal behavior guys. When you 'kill' the app, you've asked it to stop processing. Remember that you're running in Xcode when this happens. The 'kill' button on the phone tells Xcode to stop executing. Have a look at the 'play' button at the bottom of the Xcode window..clicking will resume execution.

You are right David, when I disconnect from Xcode everything was fine! Thanks for the reply!
