Hi in Spain... If you're using v1.4 to make iOS or Android apps, it's tough to get the proper punctuation when working with international characters. We had a tough time supporting this early on. However, v1.5 does support this very well. v1.5 is in a pre-release with our Early Adopters and is only supported on iOS, Android coming soon. So... to get good support for international characters... a) Get on the Early Adopter list (see your control panel for info about how) b) Work with v1.5 instead of v1.4 FYI: My teenager's going to Spain this summer for three weeks with her High School Spanish Club - she's very very excited. Neat to see Spain in the forum ;-)

Hi David, I tried to use special caracters on menus and screens but they don't work. Am I doing something wrong ? :) Or I should avoid having those caracters? Best regards, Mario

Did you see the previous post? What version? v1.5 handles special characters nicely... v1.4 doesn't. Search 'characters' in the forum for a trail of discussions.

I use v1.5. I saw all the posts. Doesn't work for me. I'll try with local configuration file.

@Mario: What charaters - specifically - are giving your trouble? South America, Sweden, Easter Europe and others seem fine so far. If you cannot post the character in the forum, do the best you can to describe it. The local configuration file and the remote configruation file should behave the same now.

Easter European(Croatian,Serbian,Bosnian,...). Forum will probably not show it nicely- č ć ž đ š đ http://translate.google.com/#hr|en|%C4%8D%20%C4%87%20%C5%BE%20%C4%91%20%C5%A1 In control panel and on iOS simulator I get question marks- ? My source files in Xcode are encoded in UTF-8,maybe thats an issue?

I also see these in the control panel. This makes sense. If the control panel shows ? marks where characters go, then the BT_config.txt file that comes with your app will also get the ? marks with is why iOS is showing them. Sounds like our database is having trouble storking the values. UTF-8 in xCode is normal... don't worry about that. In your browser..in the menu... can you see what character set you're running? It may be called Text Encoding, depends on the browser. This machine is running Safari and it reads 'Default' What does yours read? What browser is it? This may or may not be related, just making sure I understand what we are dealing with.

Thanks for the help with the browser info. I'll look into this further in the morning (it's 2:00 AM here). Nudge this post if you dont' see a message sometime tomorrow.
