App Rejected because of location data - how do I fix, or disable this?

After building my App and submitting it to the App Store, it was rejected for the following reason: We've completed the review of your app, but cannot post this version to the App Store because it did not comply with the App Store Review Guidelines, as detailed below: 4.4: Location data can only be used when directly relevant to the features and services provided by the app to the user or to support approved advertising uses Suggestions?

A follow up comment - I assume this is so that the buzz map feature works. . . I didn't intentionally add this feature.

Is this 1.4 or 1.5? In 1.5 there's a dropdown you change in the control panel online to change it. UNder the second or third control section option in your app building area. If its 1.4 you need to delete out a line of code in your downloaded project when you open xcode. How to do this is on here already, maybe just do a search uner 'location'.

1.4, I'm not sure how to get ver. 1.5, when I open my app (or try a new app), it shows as 1.4. Okay, I'll look for the code to delete (though I did run a search before I posted). Thanks.

To get 1.5 you have to email buzztouch to get access :) For 1.4: (copied from Davids other post a while back): If you want to turn off the app's location updating, and prevent it from turning on the users GPS... see [you app name]AppDelegate.m, around line 126. This file is in the /config folder. Around line 126, comment out the line that turns on the location updater... it looks like this.. [self performSelector:@selector(startLocationUpdates) withObject:nil afterDelay:.2]; If you comment this line out, the GPS will never turn on. Hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but if I were to remove this from my app, would it still allow app users to map a route from where they are to the location of the company listed on the app, or would that feature be disabled?

I just had my App rejected for location data as well. If you're not using any sort of map-based feature in your App, be sure to turn it off. Now I'm trying to figure out if turning it off from the Buzztouch control panel is enough or if I have to upload a whole new binary. Major bummer.
