YouTube XML Element (Images) RSS

Hi, Ive been looking over and fiddling with the RSS settings but cant for the life of me get the RSS page to display a thumbnail with each post on the feed. Could anyone possibly advise me on what information i need to be inputting for this to work? My feed is YouTube. This URL (http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/grimetimepromotions/videos.rss) Many thanks.

Hello there. I think it might be helpful to know that the RSS feed you need is actually an mRSS feed, for media. You may not have the still images showing or tagged properly in your RSS feed. media:thumbnail needs to be in the feed with a url to the file location. Like the example below. you need to change the % signs. %?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?% %rss version=2.0 xmlns:media=http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/ xmlns:dcterms=http://purl.org/dc/terms/% %channel% %title%Example MRSS%/title% %link%http://www.example.com/examples/mrss/%/link% %description%MRSS Example%/description% %item xmlns:media=http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/ xmlns:dcterms=http://purl.org/dc/terms/% %link%http://www.example.com/examples/mrss/example.html%/link% %media:content duration=120% %media:player url=http://www.example.com/shows/example/video.swf?flash_params /% %media:title%Grilling Steaks for Summer%/media:title% %media:description%Get perfectly done steaks every time%/media:description% %media:thumbnail url=http://www.example.com/examples/mrss/example.png height=120 width=160/% %/media:content% %/item% %/channel% %/rss%

Hi erichopf Thanks for getting back to me. I have to admit though im still no closer to understanding how to go about implementing this RSS, (Im really new to this.) How would I change and where would I put all of the above information? So far all I had done was find the URL I wanted to get infromation from (YouTube), and tried to look at how to display the images in the feed aswell as the info. Its a video feed from YouTube of most recent uploads. Would I just alter the XML option in Buzztouch or do I need to go further in with Custom HTML or something? Sorry just very confused! Thanks for your help though.

Try editing the xml file, and host it on your site. Put the link in the dataURL field. When I get home, I'll post a sample for you to try out. You might need to make the images for the thumbnails yourself.

Ahh, may be a problem as at the moment I am not working with a site. Ive literally just placed a YouTube RSS URL into my App. Baically long story short I am working with a friend and he is managing the YouTube channel and what I'd like to do is have the YouTube RSS displayed on the App so that the latest uploads appear in the timeline and a thumbnail of the video can be next to it. If the RSS cant be changed on Buzztouch I may just have to leave it :/
