my app was approved!!!

My first app was approved by itunes! For anyone who wants to check out a version 1.5 app here's the link in itunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/erres/id413192645?mt=8 Please keep in mind this is work in progress and there is A LOT I still need to do but wanted to get it up on the store before Apple starts getting too picky, especially with the free apps. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Time to start working on the first update! Josh

Hi it looks very different from the common interface of buzztouch and looks more like another phonegap UI, I wonder what did you use, hope you could give pointers, my app was rejected because Apple said is simply web clippings and feeds. Hope you could give good pointers for us. thanks!

This is ALL buzztouch. I used the non-tabbed layout with background images for the buttons. You can set the size of the buttons and the space between them. I think it defaulted to 4 rows of 4 buttons but I changed it to 3 rows of 3 (similar to the facebook app). As for the rejection of your app, just try adding some original content, even just a few custom html screens. I really don't have much on mine at the moment but it got approved anyways. Maybe I caught the guy on a good day...

Hi Josh, I'm confused with the first page, is that a splash screen or the 1st interace page? If it is the 1st interface screen, can you click the icons?

The very first screen that's there for about 3 seconds with the big red cross is the splash screen. The screen that says Welcome to ERres at the top with the nine icons is the home screen. You can't click on the flash screen but each of the 9 icons on the home screen are clickable and open their own menu.

@Moto The layout he used is quite simple, but will take you a bit of time. He has basically built 2 versions, different size icons, layout, margins, etc. for the iPad and iPhone versions. Each button is linked to a menu-list or custom html, text page. Not that complicated, just a lot of time and love spent in making it.
