Menu- List =Is there anyway to control, set the width of the menu?

I am working on a iPad app for a photographer and looking to have a list of videos displayed. The issue is that the list displays adjusted to the left. Is there anyway to alter the width of the menu? or center the icon & text? Maybe this is just an issue that isn't workable currently. Please let me know if anyone has found a workaround. (other then a custom html and stream the video, as opposed to currently having it included in the app.) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14348028/video_menu.png

Have you experimented with a button menu instead of a menu-list? The images for the buttons have 'two parts' The background image and the icon. If you setup an icon on a button, it goes -on top' of the background image. To make the same kind of button your seeing on this menu-list screen, create a button with a background image (the same image I see in your example post) and no icon, just leave the icon blank. Next... decide where the text will go. Above, below, etc. You may have tried this already. Oh, better idea. For the 'large device' settings, you could make a very large icon and increase the font-size. This could be a good effect? The image will be square so it would take up far more room to the left... if the title font size and description font size were adjusted too, it could look nice on the larger device. For menu lists and button lists you can set different size for iPhone vs. iPad. Hoping this helps.

David, Thanks for the idea. I already tried the buttons route and the issues are the button is square, the text is not adjusted to the side of the button, rather on top, middle, below, etc., and the font is limited by the size of the button. I will just have to try an get it to work the best I can with the menu.
