Native vs URL headers

David, What should the boundaries be for how big (file size) an app can be by apples standards. If I have a few hundred list menu pages and each has its own header image (from 25kb to 100kb in size) would this be a problem to keep all those images in the project? I've been testing it out with the images on my server and pointing to the URL, but sometimes there is a considerable lag in time for the image to display in the app. If I were to put all the images in the project instead, what do you think is a safe number of pages that I could have header images?

Printed limits don't really exist (as far as I can tell) but we all know that 10mb apps require wi-fi for download. I think that's the number. The end-user experience for an app with hundreds and hundreds of screens will degrade with volume. The best apps are consise and simple, not necessarily volumes of data. Pulling images from a URL is going to be the best approach but will come at a the cost of having to wait a bit for a download. You may consider using the same image, or less images for each screen?
