Saving data to use in the app

Are we able to save data, such as a URL or email address to use as a setting in the app? In my app, this information will be different per user so I cannot hardcode it. My application will download an xml file and use it in some custom html code, but each group of clients will have a different url to download the xml file. Any suggestions? Thank you, Ken

Hi in Illinois... This is very doable with v1.5. Not sure if you're on the Early Adopter list or not? See your control panel for info about getting on the list... Here's how you could do that, with v1.5. for iOS. v1.5 isn't available yet for Android. And, it will take some basic back-end .PHP skills, maybe ask your web-developer if you're not up-to-speed on this. a) Create a few users in your v1.5 control panel so you can allow 'logins' You could also do user management from your site (add a settings log-in screen in your v1.5 app) b) Allow your users to login using the login screen you add to one of your menus. c) Next, add whatever type of screen you want, like a Custom URL and append the [userId] variable to the URL. This will allow you to determine which user is requestng the file. Your backend outputs whatever data you want, based on the user. Hope this makes sense? Dont' hesitate to re-post if it doesn't. I think first you'll need to experiment a little with v1.5 Get on the Early Adopter list ;-)

This would allow the user names and passwords to be save in the application?

Also, I am very new to this I don't don't know how to get to the control panel. I don't have a menu item that says Control Panel. I have not been able to receive my confirmation email, so maybe I am not seeing something I should- or maybe I am just completely lost. Ken

You can disregard the comment about not finding the control panel - it is application specific. I figured it out. However, I don't know how to add users there. Ken

@ Kennected Are you working with a v1.5 app? If you're not (v1.4), you won't see a manage users option in your applications control panel. v1.4 does not have a user management function, only v1.5
