What does it mean? It's simply telling you that it cannot find a file it looked for. It looks for appModified.txt to see if the app needs updated. But, if you're not using a dataURL (I think you are not) then it doesn't do any update checking so this file won't ever exist. App not starting in simualtor could be loads of things.
