Submitting HTML to my page(s) in an orderly fashion

Hi All, could you possibly offer any advice. Because of the amount of text (images) on my app - I enquired what the best format was to present this - David (BT) suggested HTML and a forum member concurred. I downloaded a Mac HTML Editor - wrote down a few lines, bulleted a few, numbered a few and inserted a table. I copied and pasted it from the editor to my app page saved it, and reloaded the app - didn't work - I could see the table entries - but no borders, the bulleted sentences continued instead of starting on a new line etc - I feel Im doing something basic wrong - any clues from anyone - about getting a HTML screen to look as orderly as I require cheers Dennis, England

Perhaps something went wrong the copying and pasting. Like the box above the text fields state; copying and pasting stuff from a text editor almost never works properly. It is a problem that has occurred with me a few times. Unfortunately, the only solution I found was to retype in the box on the website and not use an outside editor.

I've heard that copying & pasting the html code sometimes doesn't turn out right. Have you considered just importing the html file into your project? That's what I do, haven't had a problem yet with formatting.

Hi Mutzy - I did copy and paste - so are you suggesting I save the content as a file - and then import the file to the Buzztouch code page? I tried to see if that was a solution but I couldnt immediately see the opportunity to import to my screen. If this can be done then I can develop a lot of my app in HTML and spend a day importing - that sounds fab to me. Have I missed a option that allows me to import?

Right, instead of using a HTML page - elect to use a HTML Document - in this case I can import - is this what you do, Mutzy?

Can anyone let me know of a good html editor that interfaces freely with BT?

Yes, so when you create a new document in your buzztouch app I create a html document (as opposed to custom html or custom url). Once created click on it and there will be two options... enter the HTML file name or the HTML url. You want to enter the file name (ie sample.html). Then you simply create your sample.html file using whatever editor you choose (I use KompoZer) and save it in the BT_Docs folder of your buzztouch project. Once the file is there, you also have to drag it into Xcode itself into the appropriate folder (BT_Docs). Once done you can reload the simulator or you can reinstall on your device and you'll see it. Sound good??

Mutzy - late last night I downloaded kompozer and tried a couple of things - but thank you very much - so - I need to place a couple of files in strategic locations so they are always called ?? Thank you very much for that.Ill try that (I dont know what file/folder to drag it to in Xcode but there must be one that accepts this kind of thing - do you happen to know its file extension? If not Ill take a look tonight cheers

save the file with a html extension (ie menu.html). When you download your project put the file in the BT_Docs folder. Then double click on the *xcodeproj file to open xcode and drag that file into the same BT_Docs folder. Then try running in the simulator to see how it looks.
