Tips for updating 1.5 app code files?

Hello, I am starting to download and update my v1.5 project code more frequently and I wondered if anyone had any tips or best practices for updating the apps code for each release. So far, with each 1.5 release, I have been deleting my xcode project altogether and just starting fresh with the latest download as I test in the simulator. I recently noticed that as I generated the certificates for my test device, this approach can render them useless. Even if the freshly downloaded xcode project app is named exactly the same in CFBundleIdentifier settings etc... So is is as simple as keeping the original xcode project file intact and just drag-n dropping the new files into each folder inside xcode? I'm trying to find the best way that won't break anything. I have been using Beanstalkapp.com and Versions app for mac for svn versioning control, which has been very helpful. I also use Kaleidoscope app for mac to compare file changes. Thanks in advance for any insight. Best Regards

You should not have to do anything special. You seem to have the idea, downloading the source from your control panel should take care of this kind of thing. What 'certificats are you generating' for your test device? Are you talking about provisioning profiles from apple? These have nothing to do with the source code itself. As long as you use the Build Configuratio panel to point to the proper provisioning profile you should be OK. Maybe I'm missing something.
