EULA Advice

Does anyone have any advise or links about creating a End User License Agreement for apps? Bruce

As in technically, like how to do it? Or as in, what should it read? Kinda different questions. Did you ever get your crazy Eclipse thing figured out. Been thinking alot about that lately ;-)

Basically I just wanted some general info, what other people have done. Did they add a text file somewhere, make the eula pop up before using the app, not do any eula, etc... There's this: http://bees4honey.com/blog/tutorial/adding-eula-to-android-app/ I thought I might try that... I say that with much trepidation as my exploits in Eclipse haven't been fun. ;-) As far as Eclipse goes, everything is working in the app (on my phone) and in the simulator with no errors but I still have little yellow exclamation point warnings in front of some of the folders in Eclipse. I've downloaded all the installable packages (as far as I can tell, checked and rechecked) but I still have the warnings. I noticed in your video you didn't have any so that told me something is wrong on my end. I figured if everything is working I should just ignore the warnings..? B

Warnings: Yup, probably should just ignore them. Here's the deal with Eclipse and warnings. There a HUNDREDS of ways Eclipse can be configured to 'alert' you if something is not exactly right. You can ask it to warn you for all sorts of things. Generally, the 'warning level' is set pretty high. An example of a useless warning may be: 'variable is unused' when really the code uses it in a place Eclipse didn't expect. Again, Eclipse's way of trying to help. In some cases, they do help, in most cases, they don't. It's all about the way the dev. envrionment is setup. Woudn't worry about yellow, red's no good ;-)

Ok, cool! Once again thanks for all your help. We hope to launch soon. Just waiting for paperwork to submit to Apple and Market. B

Is there a compelling reason for a EULA? If not, why put one in?
