Ok, I really screwed up this time....

First off, this was my first app so all this is new, learning fast but unfortunately by mistakes made.... soooooo.... Android app maps weren't working. Found I had the key string wrong, blah blah.... that's not the bad part. So while I'm really frustrated in the middle of the night, and the stupid thing won't run anymore on the emulator (because I later realized I forgot to change one line of code) I deleted the keys and the file and started from scratch. Made new key... yeah, you see what's coming don't you? So Android Market won't take the file because the key doesn't match. So just when I thought I couldn't make it worse.... I'll just unpublish the App and publish the new version with the new key. This is a free app primarily for my own employees so I can just tell them to reinstall. But! But, it didn't delete on the Market completely. The package ID and key info are still there so I can't upload. I know there is a simple work around, but what might it be?

I think I understand what your'e saying but lets make sure. And, firstly, you're doing fine with a very new technology. Android and other markets do have some tricks and dont' feel silly when you think you've screwed something up, just kinda part of it. Welcome to the gold-rush of figuring all this out ;-) So, are you saying you cannot upload your app? If you've updated it (on your machine) you should be able to upload a 'newer version' without any trouble. But, before you can do this, you'll need to modify the AndroidManifest.xml file so the market knows you are uploading a new version of an existing app. In this file, there is a key called: android:versionCode This version code must be updated each time the application is submitted to the market. So, if it reads 1.0, you could change it to 1.1 or 2.0 or anything that makes sense to you. Update this to something 'new' then re-upload.
