The issue is / was related to orientation changes. The latest project should work. There are no 'scale' options in the control panel, the background image should center itself on iPhone and iPad. The tough part is sizing the image. It's best to use two different images, one for small devices and one for large devices. If your image is not positioned veritally as you expect, you could adjust it's size (in an image editor) then refresh. It's much easier to do this using images from URL's rather than having to re-compile everytime you add one to the project. Hope this helps. Let us know if it doesn't.
