Screen Rotation on iPhone, can it be prevented?

Hi there, I have absolutely 0 experience in Xcode so I would not know where to begin to look but is possible to prevent the App ive made switching from vertical to horizontal view? The reason being is that I have 8 buttons on my Menu 'Home Page' and when its turned sideways, the buttons come out of line and also the background image changes size and doesnt fit the screen anymore. My app would look much more professional is the screen rotation could be prevented.
