link to iTunes

I have two links that point to itunes for music purchase. When the button is clicked, i get a screen that says do you want to launch itunes? with a Yes button and a No button. The Yes button works, but the No button does not. Now there is no way to go back, I actually have to launch itunes then close out and open the app again.

Not good, something wrong in the project. I'm thinking it's an easy fix. App Name plz. Menu screen (nickname) plz. I'll get it fixed right away.

Looking... just so I'm sure, the YouTube links aren't workign? I thought they were links to itunes that were hosed (pun intended for fire-guy).

No worries. The music2 screen loads an HTML document. It has a file name entered an no URL, which means you must be including the document (musicht.html) in Xcode. This means I don't have the doc... rats. If it's an HTML link that's not working - OK - but this is different than a button (I was thinking a buzztouch button menu). Kindly email the musicht.html as an attachment so I can drag it into the Xcode project and see what's happening. Send it to info 'at' buzztouch.com IF you're still awake ;-)

I'm having the same issue with my app for selecting No for launching iTunes. Is there a fix for this?

You've asked this question in another thread.... the fix depends on the version of the app.

As a fireman, we have a saying... Before breaking the door down, try the doorknob. When I had the problem you are having, I tried a few different things. The one thing that worked, was pressing the NO button a little bit higher. Sort of almost in between the yes and no button. If you press the NO button right on, it doesn't work for me still... Apple's problem??? Give that a try first.

Yes it works if you touch in between both Yes and No but this will be an issue with users. How will they know this? Will I have to add it to the Description of the app in the app store? Will apple approve if it doesn't function correctly?

Funny. I've not experienced this issue, maybe my fingers are smaller? I can assure you that the button in the choices are iOS controlled and the 'hit zone' isn't something that can be modified.

Ok no huge deal. is there a way users can purchase the songs without closing the app? Like open these links inside of the app itself and allowing them to preview the songs like the browser version?

There are a few cool examples of this. 'Buying' with iTunes will always be in iTunes, not in your app (apple controlled). However, some neat designs do... a) Menu list for an album b) Header image is artist or albums cover c) each item in the list leads to Streaming Audio with a URL to a mini-version of the .mp3 d) Streaming audio has background image with artist and some advertising lingo like 'buy now in the app store' c) Streaming audio screen has right-side nav bar button to launch iTunes
