Not to any specific one of my apps, its been reported on many different ones. If one app of mine doesn't work for a user, then they all don't work (they all give back the same error) (even after reinstalling). These are jailbroken users. I am thinking... that configuration data file that saves/delete every launch of the app doesn't have the rights to save one some ipods/iphones, and wont save, thus the error (think I'm close?). Jailbreaking is all about giving permissions TO access, edit, write, delete root files - so jailbreaking DOES edit file permissions. That's all the information I know, thought maybe you can log this for future reference if anyone reports it. Regards, David. All the buzztouch apps are highly dependent on the file system. Reading, writing, deleting, adding files is a requirement. Because I don't understand anything about jailbreaking I can't test this. If you're suggesting that some apps don't have access to the file system (the portion of the file system reserved for each app is isolated from other apps) then you're probably right. Perhaps the second location will have the right permissions. I don't know, just food for thought! Also, one COULD possibly test this issue out by editing the permissions themselfs, launching the app, and see if they get that error. I'll try it out sometime when I get time, my ipod's currently unavailable. David. I'm thinking this is the whole idea behind jailbreaking, opening up an otherwise locked file system.
