Depends ... how good of a screen mockup you desire? I use several apps on iPad to help me determine the design and functionality of an app 1. Pen and paper blueprint https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=47D35231F571EE9A1AB0660 2. Turning that paper blueprint into an interactive mockup https://popapp.in 3. Making a native-looking mockup with the Blueprint Lite (free) app Blueprint Lite (iOS Mockup) by groosoft https://appsto.re/us/Dmtry.i -- Niraj

The Pencil project is fine for doing and showing mobile mockups that are not on the actual mobile device. However, when it comes time to feel the interaction of the mobile app, then the mockups must be actually on the mobile device. That is why the Prototype on Paper (POP) app and the Blueprint Viewer app are essential. Both allow one to create interactive mockups that run on the mobile device. Running on the mobile device forces the User to get their mind "into it". All of their attention is focused on the mockup running on the mobile device. That helps the User to provide you the best feedback. In summary, because it is a desktop-only tool, the Pencil is great for desktop web sites, and it is only an okay mockup tool for mobile apps. -- Niraj
