hi, wondering if possible in an app to have a tab you could select that allowed users to input notes (as in personal reminders and such)...could this be done with launch native app in v1.5? thanks!!

hmmm , maybe not in launch native app...was hoping maybe Notes would launch and user could type in reminders there...is there a way to do it without going to a url or something?

Are you trying to launch the notes application that the iphone/ipod uses from within your app?

To me it sounds like if you did that, launching the notes app would automatically close your app, not sure if that's what you would want. If you don't understand whats on that link, its best to wait for David to respond to this :) (but again, it would most likely kill your app as the note app launches, which would be really inconvenient). Most iPhones are running the mult-task supported OS. Most iPods are not. This means if you launch a native app, like Note in newer models the behavior will be exacly like the user expects. Notes will launch and your app will get pushed to the system-tray where all the other running apps are. Totally useful, very cool. Tapping your app again will return it to the exact same state. iPod, not so much (there are some ipods runing mulit-task but not the majority). For iPods, your app will almost always re-launch to the home screen. In either case, the notes will not be assoicated with the app in anyway. This may or may not matter? Now, how to launch notes using the Launch Native App feature. See this page for all kinds of cool things you can do with native-urls. Try them in the Launch Native Apps feature. If you're using one that is not available in the buzztouch control panel (only the main ones are), choose Safari in the drop down list then enter the URL to the native app to launch.

I think your talking to me? menutest is the app. @ianjamespiano Whatever is easy for you, to be honest, integrating a notes app yourself would be extremely hard to do without having the time and knowledge to do so. If you don't know how to code, its best you stick with native apps. I would warn users with older devices that they may need to relaunch your app after jotting down notes if you get it to work with the apple notes app. David.

And, we don't even know if these special URL's are going to work, it's an awefully long list! This is a cool one: fb://notes Looks like you could launch the users Facebook app to their notes screen - awesome. Gonna have to look into this more, all kinds of possibilites.

All devices will have the notes app by default, unless jailbroken, you cannot delete it, so you shouldn't worry about that much :) Good luck!

It's this (hidden in the last post) fb://notes That web-page with all those URL's has a long list of cool Facebook URL's. See what you can come up with. If you can trick iOS to openeing an app by telling it to launch Safari (using the Native app choice) but providing a URL to an already installed app - we have lots of things we can do. TONS of possibilities with this.

Yeah, sim not gonna work, facebook on phone needed. Something like 80% iphone's have Facebook app - crazy!
