iPhone Notice when Internet isn't available

re: iPhone App Submission On several Pre-submit checklists it mentions that the app needs to notify the user that it requires internet access. Is there a control or code in BuzzTouch we can place on the main app screen that can identify that there is a connection or not and display a message? Thanks,

This is a tough one, the game changes soooo quickly. We can't say we know for sure what Apple will or won't say about any app - ever. There are countless examples that go against their publisher guidelines that are approved without any problem. And, there are tons of examples with nothing obviously or blatently wrong that are rejected. Some of these are built here, others are not - it's crazy and very unpredicatble. However, you do want to do the best you can to support their well documented guidelines. Not because it may increase or decrease your chances for approval, but because all of their seemingly silly rules do make sense - lots of sense in most cases. So, how to notify the user? I would suggest this information be placed in the app's description. Nothing complex, just a note that reads ' this app will require an internet connection for some feature' or something like that. NONE of the big-name app's on any of our iOS devices (we have every model of every one of them) have any such notice and seem to be fine. Addtionally, there are buzztouch apps approved many many many times a week and we have NEVER heard from anyone that they were rejected because they didn't have this notice. The rules could change but I would'nt worry about it too much unless you are actually rejected.

Duh, did'nt answer the question. No, there is no easy way to do this using the tools. However, it does make sense that there would be. Consider it 'on the list' ;-)

blardo9d, do you have a pre-submit checklist you would recommend for others?

I am going to look at a few different lists and make a new easier to understand list. I will post a link to it once done. Give me a few days.
