button radius issues

I am having a problem adding a radius to my own image buttons. They are 60x60 and I have placed them in the images/icon folder in xcode. I also tried with them in just the images folder. Am I missing something easy?

.png or .jpg images should both 'accept' the rounded corner setting. What app? What screen? I'll get a look if I know which screen you're trying to round the images on.

They are all .jpg images... I'd like to put the radius on all button menu screens but just the home screen would be a great start...
