Successfully installed app on iPhone to debug

I have, so far, successfully installed my app on my iPhone to debug. Things have changed a little since I put my app on iTunes. It assigned me a team provisioning profile through the organizer? I'm not sure what that is, but it worked. I changed my Bundle ID in xCode to match my original app, and selected my code signing idenity The app works great! I guess my next step is to get a Distribution profile? Sorry, but it has been a year since I went through this and I've forgotten a lot, well just about everything really. I think I read on here the app ID has to match too, but I am not sure. I'll work on this after work tomorrow and see what I should do next. When you don't do this but once a year, it's like starting over, but hopefully it will be on iTunes soon! Any tips or suggestions on my next steps will be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

I'm a total novice, but yes, I think a Distribution profile is your next step towards submitting through iTunes Connect. Build the xCode as a distribution and upload with appropriate accompanying information.
