Submitted app to Apple for approval

Everything went smoothly. I was expecting a lot more trouble. Waiting on approval from Apple. Even though I have not submitted an app in about a year, it seemed easier this time. After it is approved (unless it is rejected) I will give away 40 of my apps to anyone who wants one. I will post the name of the app and list 40 redeem codes here.

ianjamespiano: I think apple handles this very differently from app to app.. I also think it depends much on the extent of internet-based functions used in your app. If there's a lot of Youtube videos, audio streaming from an url and other stuff that obviously needs an internet connection apple may reject it for this reason.. Still, it seems that many, many people (including myself) has got their app approved with no problems. You should just try submitting and see what happens. After 2 successfully uploaded apps (and 1 in review atm) my best advice is to read apples guides and follow them step by step. If this is your first time that is.. It took me a whole night(!) understanding the submitting process and getting everything right.. Now I can do it with my eyes closed.. well, almost..

I have built an App for my school which is designed specifically to put info about and from the school into one neat solution. It contains an RSS feed from our Twitter account, video of our new building going up from YouTube and, most usefully, easy ways to contact the staff by clicking on their name to set up an email to them orinitiating a call to the school. Apple has rejected the App.... We've completed the review of your app, however, we cannot post this version to the App Store because it is only a content aggregator and provides a limited set of features and functionality to users. Such apps do not comply with the App Store Review Guidelines - How is this different to a news app such as the BBC News app? or Seven Kings High School? Any advice welcome

I feel your pain. Try adding in some more original content screens or something like that. A wee gallery native to the app and not pulling from YouTube. If there is no content in app and it is all outside pulls they'll just do it again. Had the same issue myself so do feel your pain. 'After your app is submitted to the App Store for review, a robed monk is there to recieve it when it arrives. The monk ushers your app to the Shrine of Acceptance, where it will begin its journey. Each journey is unique and special, just like your app, and while the journey has been rumoured to include attacks of security ninjas, IP-samurai, and even a final battle with Steve himself, no-one's quite sure what happens. The best you can do is sit back and wait.'
