App Name and changes after launch

Hello! I thought I'd fire off a quick question before I take off to work (thanks for the image tips, haven't tested it yet). Anyways, for the purposes of my app, I think i need to secure a particular App name, so I want to move my app to the Apple Store asap. Information and format of the app can be altered even while its in the store, correct? My big question... Can my icon be altered once its in the store? I just need to know how much I need to perfect my app before I take it to the store. Thanks!

You can enter all necessary info (app name, description, pricing etc.) about your app by clicking add new app in itunes connect, and upload the binary later when your app is ready. These are two seperate operations. Don't know if this answers your question, but hope it helps.

I think that does help. I can set up a place holder with Apple and submit the code when its done, right?

You're on the right track. However, do not plan to alter the app's icon - Apple STRONGLY suggests that you stick with the original icon you used when the app was originally submitted. If you do need to alter it, you can but will have to submit an App Update. When you submit an app update, if the icon is different you may get rejected. We've done this countless times - choose your icon first, it will save you tons of headaches ;-)
