Your Eclipse environment does not have the External Google Maps API package installed. There are a few forums posts about this, search Maps on the forum. Even if you don't have the maps enabled in your application, you still need to tell Eclipse to get these packages, it needs them to compile. Comments This is very very common. When you import the application Mage sure the check is in the google API box. Sometimes it will select another by by default then there's errors show.
