Error viewing single image on Android Simulator

I'm having a problem loading my images in the android simulator. When i built the app, the images viewed fine in the buzztouch environment but, in the simulator, it is telling there is a problem downloading my image and to check my internet connection. My Internet is fine and this is driving me NUTS! Can some help me with this issue. Thanks Anthony

You could start here: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=8AE25A5D07C81D2 There are occassional reports about this and we have not figured out a concrete reason why this sometimes happens?

@AnthonyMungo: Yes, we have done some testing on a Motorola Droid and three different simulators. We had no trouble loading the image in two of the devices but DID duplicate your problem on a third device. As soon as we have this figured out we'll let you know in this post how to fix it ;-)

David, Which type of AVD did you create to load the images. I've tried so many and have had no luck. Please Advise,As always thank you for your support. I wish i were more knowledged in building code, i wouldn't have to ask so many questions. Thanks again, Anthony

FIXED! The AVD I got it to work on was an Android 2.2. However, this is bad, it needs to work on a Android 1.6 simulator - which is was not - like you realize. You have two choices: a) Re-download the Android source-code for your project. It has been updated and will work now. b) Remove one line of code from one file. If you want to remove the problematic code instead of downloading the new project... 1) find the Screen_SingleImage.java file in the /src directory of your Android Project. 2 Scroll down to the line that reads screenGuid = raw.getString(guid); and remove it, delete it, make it go away. This line is the source of the problem, removing it will fix the problem.

OK, So i re-downloaded the soource code. Compiled an avd with 2.2, run simulator and its doesnt go past the Downloading screen. The app now doesn't load. Page says Downloading this should only take a moment.

Compile it in v1.6. I was using 2.2 for testing purposes only to try to diagnose the issue. All v1.4 apps need to be compiled with Android 1.6. I've tested this a bunch and your app works awesome. In face, what you have done is very VERY impressive. Let us know when your done and if you're interested, we'de be happy to highlight it on our homepage (if you're interested?)

David, It would be an honor to have my app featured on your site. It has also been published in the Android Market, waiting for apples approval. Who knows how long that could take. Thank you again for this great service you offer.

Soon... were getting some artwork together for the home-page. Also.. if you're intersted (you don't have to do this) in having a little blurb about you, like a case study, we'de be happy to post it. If so, please send a little bio or info about the app and it's audience to info 'at' buzztouch.com The idea is that visitors would click on your app on the home page to learn a bit about you, how you made it, and what you're planning for it's future ;-)
