Issues uploading a spreadsheet

I have excel 2010. At first I got an error message while uploading that said it wasn't secure, so I saved it down to excel 97-2003 level. Then it accepted the file but doesn't allow me to click done and when I go back to see the spreadsheet option, it's not there.

I'm confused. Are you having trouble saving an Excel spreadsheet on your computer or are you having trouble uploading and Excel spreadsheet on the site? There is a difference. The control panel will only accept uploads for Excel files that end with the .xls file extention. This means that you cannot 'save as' anything other than that and still be able to upload it. I hope this makes sense. It's also possible that the spreadsheet is 'too large' - to upload through the control panel - in which case we'de be happy to upload it for you. If you think this is the case, kindly email the file, along with the exact name of your app to info 'at' buzztouch.com Hope this helps.

I'm having trouble getting my word and excel files uploaded. It won't accept them. I am a little clearer now on the problem. It appears to be related to my MS software. I can upload documents created on older versions of word and excel, but any documents created or modified using word or excel 2010. It appears that newer excel files do not have .xls extensions anymore. I can't save down the files to previous versions of excel or word - that doesn't work. They still won't upload. I can however paste information into a document created with a previous version of word, and that will upload.
