Uploading Word Documents

I am trying to upload a Word Document which has been created on a Mac and saved as .docx, it would not upload and I kept getting an error so I saved the file as a .doc (97-2004 doc) but got the same error again. The file is 2.8mb in size.

Good catch on re-saving it as a .doc. 2.8 mb should work but may be causing the trouble. You could, a) create multiple docs and multiple ways to access each page or b) email the doc to info @ buzztouch.com along with a note about which app, menu, item, it should be associated with and we'll upload it for you ;-)

@ mscesario I'm not sure what you're asking here. Menu items lead to documents. One menu item = one document. This means if you want multiple documents you'll end up with multiple menu items.

buzztouch v1.4 or v1.5? v1.4 allows document uploads, v1.5 does not. In v1.5, use DropBox or another service to upload to if you dont' have a website. Next, enter the URL to the document on the Word Doc screen.

@david so are you saying that 1.5 won't let me upload a word document from my files? And can you please tell me how to use DropBox and what it is, because I will need many documents uploaded into my app, but I don't have a website and I am having the same problem as the original poster of this issue

@THO_OAKS: You are correct, v1.5 does not have any file upload features if you're using the buzztouch.com control panel (as compared to running your own enterprise version of the buzztouch server software). This means you'll either need to a) include the .doc's in the Xcode project before you compile, or b) use a service like DropBox to host your files then enter the file URL's in your buzztouch control panel. DropBox: This is an online service that gives aways free (and paid) online storage for documents, images, movies, etc. Visit DropBox.com for more info.
