Noob here, looking for hints! built an app, downloaded it's source code & downloaded Xcode from Apple, opened my mapp & clicked build & run... all things going well in the simulator, but..... My youtube video page doesn't seem to be cooperating. I realise that the video won't play in the simulator, but I expected the youtube web page to display. All I get in the simulator is a blank white screen. Any suggestions? Is there a setting in Xcode I need to check o r uncheck? This is the url I pasted in the youtube page when building: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi4AjBdEwd0 any and all hints gratefully accepted! tanx in advance ;]

YouTube videos do not play in the Simulator. This is normal behaviour (bummer but normal).

Thanks David, I did see your helpful answer in another forum topic about this, & you said the youtube web page will load in the simulator, but not the actual video - this is not happening for me, just a blank, white screen. Is this normal? tanx!

Hmmmm...Yeah, I do think the webpage would load but not play the video. I see your earlier question... you already mentioned that you understood the video won't play - oops, I misread. You could try first using the simulators Safari App to make sure it can load the page. Not sure after that? Havn't heard of anyone not being able to load the pages, just video troubles.

ok, I used safari, typed in the vidoe's address, & guess what... it loads the youtube web page, AND it happily plays the video!!! ??? I'm stumped now! :)

ok, I've just gone back in to my app & retried the youtube page within it, & it's now happily playing the youtube video for me!! Good news, but very weird!! Thanks for your help - & so speedy too! ;]
