i need help NOW

i cannot compile i dont know what i did wrong i dont have the simulator feature on my drop down on my xcode im running 3.2.5 this is the error i get: error: There is no SDK with the name or path 'iphoneos4.1' someone please help me im so aggravated already im a newbie but i feel like an idiot that i cant make it work LOL also on my xcode it says BASE SDK MISSING

choose Project --> Edit PRoject Settings. When a dialog appears, click the Build tab and change the value in the Base SDK option. Second, choose Project --> Edit Active Target. When a dialog appears, click the Build tab and change the Base SDK option again. you need iOS 4.2 SDK installed

iOS 4.2 will work but it's not needed. You can do the same thing with any iOS SDK dating back to 3.1. It is best to use the latest but it's a huge download. If you already have the previous version, you can go with that.
