Issues With Clients Installing .ipa File

Hi Since upgrading to iOS 8 and upgrading to xcode 6, I've had nothing but trouble creating .ipa files that my clients can install on their iPhones. Never had an issue before but now I'm just lost to why I am having some much issues. Has anyone else having problems with installing test apps onto phone using a .ipa file? Has deleting the test target got anything to do with it? Need help resolving.

Hi Kaybee Thanks for the reply. I have done this and creating the .ipa file isn't the issue. My issue is my clients seem to be unable to install the test apps. I have created my certificates as development certificates, but unlike before it just won't install for them. I have ensured that their UDID number is correct, I'm just lost to why it won't work anymore, considering I have created 10s of demo apps. Just LOST!

Hey Dragon... Yup, all sorts of issues with iOS8, you're not alone. I've had good luck (and heard of others) after this issue by doing a hard-reset on the device. I realize this sucks for clients but it does seem to work. Re-starting a device after upgrading the operating system seems like a no brainer. These are computers right? But, SO MANY PEOPLE just click update and go. Months and months between restarts. Some never do it. The issue seems to be the way iOS 8 handles Bundle identifiers. It seems to get worse if you're trying to re-install an app on a device that already had it installed. A new .ipa. The trouble isn't just with those device but overwrites seem to cause more problems than fresh installs. Ask you clients (or one for a test?) to a) Delete a previous install of your app. If it exists. b) Restart the device (afte removing the previous install). Restart anyway if no previous install. c) Try your .ipa. Just may work. If it does, tell your other 10,000 clients to do the same. d.

Hi David thanks for the tip, I thought I was going mad. I guess your advice is the first rule for any technical meltdowns. Fingers crossed then, lol!
