Password Protection

Hi, I'm trying to build an app for the ambulance service I work for. The problem I'm running into is security. The app contains sensitive information like employee phone numbers and addresses, hospital door codes, employee schedules, etc. Is there a way to put some kind of password protection on the app itself? If not would it be possible to put the completed file on a secured website? Thanks, Kyle

I'm thinking, use the Buzztouch custom url addon and have it go to a website that is just protected with a simple .htaccess file. This should solve your security requirement, just be prepared to make the webpage very mobile friendly.

@HottWeelz: Good idea! buzztouch v1.5, the next release, allows password protected menu items. We are working hard on readying v1.5 for the gang and look forward to seeing more flexible, creative, functional apps ;-)

David, any idea when the next release is: and if you can provide some release note ahead of time?

Nope, laughs. Seriously, it's tough to say. Realistically, the iPhone version is a few weeks away and the Android version a week or so later. Design notes are another matter all together and something we are not too good at! We should already have better documentation for the existing code but just don't. We hope to have this completed BEFORE we release v1.5 - a big improvement over the last release. You should plan to see the new docs around Christmas.
