The maps feature in my buzztouch app works awesome, not sure why you want to use GoogleMaps? But, you could try making a web-page on your website that had the GoogleMap stuff, then use the CustomURL feature to display that webpage? Just an idea? I would be interested to see how the KML stuff works - never worked with it. BigFoot's idea of making a simple webpage to load the map is a great idea. If the HTML was used in the CustomHTML screen it would store locally for faster access, only the GoogleMap data would need to load each time. If you get this worked out, post some ideas and maybe we can urge the buzztouch guys to support it in a more universal, or simplified version?
