Hello @2nd2none! Welcome to Buzztouch! You've found the best community on earth to do app development in! I have a YouTube channel that shows how to get this stuff up and running for Android : https://www.youtube.com/user/gonorthwest If you are doing iPhone, you'll need to join the Apple Developer Program, download Xcode (which includes simulators), and use that for launching your apps. Let us know which OS you are developing for, and we can help more. Welcome! Mark

Try reducing the amount of memory you assigned to the VM. In general, the virtual devices are very buggy and super frustrating. Sometimes a reboot helps. Do you have access to an actual Android device? Mark

It can be frustrating. It's better to test on a real device if you can. You can either create an apk and mail it to yourself, or connect the phone to your computer and run the app directly to your device. Mark

I found when starting on android, a live device works loads better, i also found the app would work differently on live and sim device, and as your building for live device, its better to see exactly how the app works on live device, bear with eclipse, its very daunting at first, but when you get it up and running, you can then add apps to it without many problems :) sean

you need to set your device up for developing, search online for instructions for your particular phone, then when you plugin via cable, when you launch, it should give you option to choose either sim or your device.

you need to follow the tutorials dude, you couldn't explain the process in a post, follow marks above, he helped me get started, there's also lots of other tutorials, and there's no shortcuts, you have to follow them to the word. then ask for advice when your stuck. cheers sean
