I like making pretty things and I'm teaching myself animation so I thought. I would try something. Here is a snowing front drop, not back drop as it goes over everything but you can touch through it. It looks cooler than the video and the gif. which is the invisible image in the plugin market. Full instructions in the read me but as ever willing to help anyone out. Looks cool. Remember seeing a version online with the leaves. Great that you added all of the control panel settings to make it really BT friendly. Obviously was not on my radar as a missing feature- but now I have grabbed the Plugin, and will certainly use the start/end date feature! Looking forward to animation tutorials BT style. Thanks.

When I get time I will make this plugin a fully fledged particle generator. If you want leaves change color to green and swap the snow.png to a leaf shape voila. @feraco expecting first child in feb

It looks even nicer on the device nice 3d look to the snow with the alpha channels fluctuating and set a parallax background it looks very swish

Thanks for the tip on changing image- just installed in app and tried with a variety of screens and BT Control Panel settings - works great! I found using the menuButtons as my home screen, even though I had the hideSnow added: -(void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated{ [AK_SnowView hideSnow]; } This worked for all of the screens except the main menu which got more snow every time it was accessed. (because it never disappeared) Not elegant, but a quick fix was adding the hideSnow right before the showSnow in the background setup: [AK_SnowView hideSnow]; [AK_SnowView showSnow]; ============================= Awesome news above-Congrats!

That is strange It doesn't do it with my home screens I wonder why doesn't the home view ever disappear. any way just added an update to the plugin you can now toggle snow. [AK_SnowView toggleSnow]; if the snow is on it will turn off when the button is pressed and vice versa

Thanks for the toggleSnow - works as advertised ;) Nice job on all of the settings hooked thru the control panel. I tried all of the options with dates, speed, etc and everything worked right out of the box!
