How do you make an app that plays music for a radio station?

My school now has a radio class and i was just wondering if someone could help me figure out how to make an app to stream the music we play onto an itouch, iphone ect... We are also getting a website that will stream the music we play via web, is there a way to link the app to this website and play from there?

If you have a URL to the live-stream, try using a CustomURL screen in your app. The iPhone and iPod do an amazing job at streaming all kinds of audio content in the native QuickTime player. Repost here if it doesn't work.

Two of these work, one does not. The middle one, the one that ends in 8000 will not work, this leads to a 'page not found' screen? To get the first one, and the last one to work, use a CustomURL screen then enter the URL's you posted above (1st and 3rd ones). I tested these and both work nicely on the iPhone and the iPod. Again, don't use the Streaming Audio screen, use the Custom URL screen. Cool stations by the way, I'm listening on the simulator as I type ;-)

I've spent the last few days trying to work this out - no news yet. Stay tuned, it is a priority and we'll let you know just as soon as we get a solution worked out. You are not the only person asking about these strange (non .mp3) streaming formats so there has to be a way. The formats are not strange per-se, they are just not ideal for the mobile environment - gonna be soon!

Hello there. I happen to be looking to make an android application that will live stream the radio station that I have on my website, but I need some help. Do you think you could help me out, HotWheelz? I'm new to buzztouch and would like to know how I could go about doing this, as well as previewing my application before I save it and send it out for approval. Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance! =)
